While preparing the Masterplan for Olympic Park, The Design Partnership undertook a Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) assessment for the Precinct.
Olympic Park is Muswellbrook's central sporting precinct, which includes junior and senior rugby league, touch football, tennis courts, velodrome, and parking. There are walking trails located around the grounds perimeter.
The assessment considered the site against the six key CPTED criteria: Surveillance, Lighting, Territorial Reinforcement, Environmental Management, Space and Activity Management, Access Control and The Three D's. Recommendations for the Precinct were identified and integrated into the final Masterplan and its Report.
