The Design Partnership’s Andrew Neil has completed NSW Police’s Safer By Design course and can produce Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) Reports for a variety of residential and commercial developments.
Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED) is a strategy that aims to reduce crime by designing the built environment according to a set of guidelines. CPTED aims to discourage offenders by maximising the risk and effort of committing a crime, while minimising the benefits and opportunities of committing that crime. CPTED also identifies ways to create a feeling of safety, leading to increased use of an area, which in turn improves natural surveillance and deters offenders.
